Bruce Hocking's Bio:
Bruce Hocking is the developer of ETPS Therapy, an inventive approach to chronic pain management combining acupuncture with segmental and dermal therapy. He studied Classical Acupuncture with Dr. Al McDowell, a teacher for the O.A.A.T.C.M. (Ontario Association of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine). In the fall of 1993, Bruce studied in Southeast Asia with the famous Prof. A. Jayasuriya for several months where he achieved a Doctorate in Acupuncture. His next trip to Asia in the fall of 1995 resulted in a Master's Degree in Alternative Medicine (M.D.A.M.). Bruce went on to be the first non-physician acupuncturist to study the advanced needling technique called I.M.S. (Intramuscular Stimulation) with the famous pain specialist, Dr. Chan Gunn. Bruce Hocking is the author of "ETPS Neuropathic Acupuncture" in the American Academy of Pain Management's 6th Edition of Pain management: A Practical Guide for Physicians, 2001 He is also the author of "ETPS Manual - Natural Health Pain Management", "Natural Health II - Classical Acupuncture" and "Veterinary Acupuncture", all instructional manuals for the application of Acupuncture and ETPS protocols. Bruce has written many editorials, and has contributed to magazines such as Chiropractic Products, Contact Magazine (Canadian Physiotherapy Association), Podiatry Products, GoodTimes, Physical Therapy Products, Canadian Doctor and Today's Seniors. Bruce has also been asked to provide an electrotherapy chapter for the American Academy of Pain Management's Pain Manual. He has instructed accredited postgraduate continuing education courses for the Canadian Athletic Therapy Association, the Ontario College of Massage Therapists, Kikkawa College, the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, the Florida Board of Massage Therapy, the Florida Physical Therapy Association and the Chicago Chapter of the American Academy of Gnathologic Orthopedics.
